September 17 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mid Autumn Festival In person at the International Centre Drop by the International Centre on Tuesday,聽September 17聽from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival! Have a mooncake, sip some tea, and learn more about this harvest festival that is celebrated across Asia. This event is organized with the support of the Chinese Students and Scholars Society of Dal.
September 19 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. (Atlantic Time) Working While Studying: On-Campus/Off-Campus Employment and Study Permit Information Session聽 Learn about the regulations and opportunities for working while studying as an international student. We'll discuss on-campus employment, off-campus work permits, working hours restrictions, and how to find job opportunities.聽
September 20 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Clothing Swap In person at the International Centre The International Centre has teamed up with the Sustainability Office to bring you a Clothing Swap event. Refresh your fall wardrobe sustainably! You can bring your clothes to swap, donate any clothes you don't need,聽or just come to shop. This event will be held at the聽International Centre from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.聽on聽September 20. There will be light refreshments and good vibes.
September 24 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Health Wellness Provider Fair In person at the聽Student Union Building, Room 303 This is an event where students are invited to meet with the top providers in the Halifax area and learn about how to connect with them for treatment. Practitioners will be providing free consultations, trials, and demos.
September 25 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.聽 Working While Studying: On-Campus/Off-Campus Employment and Study Permit Information Session聽 In person at the International Centre Learn about the regulations and opportunities for working while studying as an international student. We'll discuss on-campus employment, off-campus work permits, working hours restrictions, and how to find job opportunities.聽
September 27 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Community Day In person at the International Centre We will be hosting next month's聽Community Day at the IC聽on聽September 27聽from noon to 3:00 p.m.聽in collaboration with Dal Legal Aid, who will be on hand聽answering questions about legal matters (particularly about off-campus housing and tenants rights). Come join us to get a chance to put your name in for a draw for something nice for your apartment.聽.
October 1 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. International Student Career Month Launch Event In person at the International Centre

The IC will be hosting a range of events and workshops throughout October聽to get you started on your career readiness journey!聽

We will have an International Student Career Month Launch Event at the International Centre on聽October 1,聽where we聽will run an informational session and Q&A from 3:00 to聽4:00 p.m. followed by聽a meet and greet from 4:00 to聽5:00 p.m.. There will be refreshments and cake to celebrate the kick-off of the month. More event info is coming soon.聽

We'll cover eligibility criteria, application processes, and important timelines to help you make informed decisions regarding your work opportunities in Canada.聽
