Memorandum of understanding

- April 1, 2008

It's no April Fools' joke - on Monday, the Province of Nova Scotia signed a聽new memorandum of understanding聽with its 11聽universities聽that will freeze tuition for the next three years and provide further tuition reductions to students from Nova Scotia through bursaries. Education Minister Karen Casey stated that the agreement will fulfill the聽government's pledge to bring tuition rates聽in line with the聽national average by 2010-11, but most of the reductions will not apply to out-of-province or international students.
